台上三分钟,台下十年功.
Their conquest for the championship title ended yesterday. They struggled a lot, but still they put up a good fight and not give up until the very last second.
It is always heart-wrenching to see a long, tough journey ending up nowhere. My heart goes out to the J2s who have been training hard for the past year or so.
Weird enough, i'm both happy and sad when i saw them losing their crucial match yesterday (see last year's posts for the happy part).
Still, past experiences as part of a bball team reminded me of how hopeless and desperate these guys were feeling when VJ was dragging the time (loose translation) towards the end of the match.
Watching your team lose just like this at the hands of stronger opponents definitely isn't a nice feeling, considering how much efforts you have put in previous trainings, and the miraculous comeback you just had 2 days before.
Indeed, there were moments when i felt like crying with them too.
Because this is probably the last time the J2s get to play at the competitive level already.Defeat is not the end; it is only part of the process. Let's just pick ourselves up and move on from there.
Make the end a success and not a failure; you only have one end after all.
I chose to wait but in the end, i did not get to read what you wrote in that yellow piece of paper. But i just want to say, i very much wanted to.
Though i will never get the chance to try again.
