Standing on the train platforms, i've thought of something. You can either take the escalator, the stairs or the lift to reach either the first or second level of the train station.

Taking the stairs is the most worthwhile route in my opinion. Compared with the other two options, this one requires more of your energy to reach the platforms. It may seems to be tough, but hear me out: its way better than the other two options. You get to climb at your own pace and decide when to stop. Even if you don't wish to stop yet, there are checkpoints for you to catch your breath and continue climbing. This way, you can be sure that you're in control of your own progress.

Escalator/lift seems to be the easy way out for most people. All they have to do is to climb onto it and let it carry you up there. However, once you're on it, you realise you can't stop when you want to. There are no checkpoints for you to rest until you've reach the top. You may desire to remain in your original position for a brief moment, but you will not be able to catch up with the pace if you do so. No matter how unwilling you are to continue, it just won't stop for you. You don't get to take charge of your own progress; the escalator/lift do.

Life these days is very much like taking the latter. I can't stop no matter how tired i am. If i ever take a break, i won't be able to catch up with the fast pace of life. I don't get to plan my progress, instead school life does it for me. What an irony, especially when that life is yours and not you are that life's. Even though i know i'll reach the top faster this way, i may just give up and wave the white flag because i know, i may fall down soon.

Given a choice, i'll still take the escalator though, because i know God is there to give me strength and carry on with the journey.

How about you?

Thank God for the longer weekend to replenish and refresh myself. Or else the factory in me may just break down.

The music is already there. Will you be the lyrics to the song?
